The Search for Saxon Crediton

In April, 2007 the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) made a grant to Crediton Parochial Church Council of £44,100 to enable them search for the site of the Saxon Crediton Cathedral.

On June 19th, Jimmy Adcock, leader of the team of archaeologists and geophysicists employed by Crediton PCC to conduct the survey, gave an initial talk to around 100 people on what his company, GSB Prospection of Bradford, hoped to find and the methods they would use to do this. more...

Heritage Lottery Fund to finance search for Saxon Crediton

It was announced today that the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has awarded a grant of £44,100 to Crediton PCC. The money will be used to search for the sites of Crediton’s Saxon cathedral and other ancient buildings, using ground penetrating radar (GPR). more...
